ADOPTION SEMINARS

If you would like to learn more about Adopt Abroad, Inc. and the adoption process, consider attending one of our Adoption Seminars. Seminars will be held in the following locations throughout the year:

King of Prussia (including surrounding areas of Collegeville)

Bethlehem (including surrounding areas of Easton, Nazareth, Bath)

Allentown (Including surrounding areas of Emmaus, Lower Macungie, East Penn area, Parkland area)

Doylestown (Including surrounding areas)

In Pennsylvania you must use a licensed agency for your adoption home study. Some foreign countries such as China will require that the adoption home study agency be a Hague accredited agency.

It is always best to use a social worker that works for a licensed agency, as opposed to an independent licensed social worker. This will ensure that your home study will be acceptable in all countries and regions. Adopt Abroad, Inc. cannot accept studies performed by independent social workers.

When your home study is completed and approved by Adopt Abroad, Inc., your social worker should send it to USCIS as it is required to finish processing your I-600A or I-800A form and issue a pre-approval to adopt from overseas. Form I-600 is used for non-Hague Adoption cases, while the I-800 form is used for Hague Adoption cases.
 

ADOPTION SEMINARS

Introduction
A home study is conducted by a licensed social worker under the aegis of an agency in the state where the prospective parent(s) reside. This home study is submitted to Adopt Abroad, Inc., to the USCIS, to the foreign country, and if required, to the court of the state in which the prospective parents reside. Home studies will be written in plain language, as they will be translated for foreign courts. Adopt Abroad, Inc. is committed to providing more affordable, quality adoption services in the warmest and most professional fashion and to assist you in all the aspects of finding a child.

For all Hague country adoptions, the home study requirements include the following: (Adoption service providers must be accredited, temporarily accredited, or approved on a national level in order to provide adoption services in Convention countries.)

Hague adoption home studies must follow HAGUE guidelines. There can be only 1 version of the adoption home study to be used by USCIS, the foreign courts and any other legal venue.
